Google does send an email and saying if someone’s suggesting an edit on your information. But people are busy. One of my clients got the email but he just didn’t know what it was about and just ignored it and now it’s costing him business.

A lot of businesses out there spend quite a bit of time going out there spending dollars on marketing, going to networking events, trying to find clients and they’re not even paying attention to what people are saying about them online.
So EdentityPro software goes and pulls in all those reviews on those different sites and makes it where you can see where you’re being found. You can see who’s talking about you, how many stars you’re getting and more importantly, you can respond.
We found out that Google actually contributes about 29% of your SEO strategy based on a review number, review rating and a response rate.
So if someone is not paying attention to the reviews, on how many they have, what the average star rating is, and they’re not responding, that would hurt them by a close to 29%.
It’s ingenious how this is done where a business owner can come in and they can say, “Oh! I just got a review. I can just go ahead and click right here and click respond.” They can type up their response then they can send it and it’s done.
Out of sight out of mind, but it’s meeting the needs of the consumer to be heard. And it’s meeting the algorithm like Google’s going through behind the scenes.
A lot of people say, “Oh you get those bad reviews? What can you do?”
If you actually got the tool and you can see that there’s a bad review, you can respond to it or work to it straight away. People can see the positive reviews anytime. But if there’s a bad review, and people see that the company’s responding to that, then it shows that company cares.
The best practice, in this case, is to take a bad review and get them on the phone or get them an email. Handle the bad review professionally and help the customers. When prospects look at those reviews, they’ll say that this person cares.
So many people are afraid of bad reviews but really that’s not the problem: It’s the lack of response. As long as you follow our advice and you implement healthy habits which are responding to reviews, regardless of what the review says. The speed of the response is more important than the review itself.
Obviously, keeping it professional is important as well but the whole purpose is to make sure that everyone feels heard. Give them a chance to make things right.
Google also sees an engagement, they’re seeing communication within their platform which will boost your position in the SEO model.
Now that you know how to manage your reviews, let’s go to how you can grow your reviews. That’s when you create a generation strategy.
A lot of individuals prefer a text message communication versus an email, but we have both options. We can choose to publish to Google or Facebook. We can do it individually or if we wanted to, the business could upload this week’s clients or this week’s business and they could send a blast text message to their clients requesting for reviews.
Now here’s where it gets important. A lot of businesses have different products or offer different services. What we recommend is that you create customized messages within our software that is based on a product or service that a customer uses.
So if the business has a couple of different baseline products that they’re generating the most business from, then it’s recommended they create a customized template that says, “Thank you so much for using this product.”
That way, when a client receives the text message requesting a review they remember what product or service your business provided for them.

It doesn’t matter how much somebody else has referred them. If they can see that you’ve got nothing on your online presence and they see that someone else has better and more reviews, they would probably talk to the other business.
Reviews will also give you a little bit of control. Some businesses say that their number one way of generating business is based on referrals. They’re basically telling us that they depend solely on that one lead source that they cannot control.

Now they can focus on capturing those referrals in the form of reviews and they can now use them as a validation and a confirmation of value. Now they can control the number one driving factor to give a business a recommendation.
It’s refreshing to know that a new way of receiving reviews can now be controlled somewhat and you can start to predict and forecast the type of deals you’re going to get within your business.
The biggest point is about having that control of the referrals. If you proactively engage with people and get more reviews, then it’s going to make it easier to sell.
When you don’t have reviews, good 5-star reviews, you’ve got to sell harder. Having those tools in place makes it a lot easier for you to sell a client than it is the old way where you had to really “push hard, three copies” and try and get through. Now it’s so much easier.
There’s the old school and there’s the new of doing business.
